Position Summary
The In Room Dining Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the In Room Dining department, ensuring exceptional guest service in accordance with The Setai's Forbes Five-Star standards. This position supervises the team, supports training, maintains service excellence, and ensures all orders are delivered accurately, efficiently, and professionally while creating memorable luxury guest experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise the daily operations of the In Room Dining department.
  • Ensure all guests receive personalized, prompt, and professional service.
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings and assign duties to Team Members.
  • Monitor service quality, order accuracy, presentation, and delivery times.
  • Handle guest requests and resolve concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Coach, train, and motivate Team Members to maintain Forbes Five-Star service standards.
  • Monitor grooming, appearance, and compliance with hotel policies and standards.
  • Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Front Office, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist with scheduling, labor control, inventories, and departmental reports.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in In Room Dining or Food & Beverage, preferably in a luxury hotel.
  • Previous Forbes Four-Star or Five-Star experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Additional languages are a plus.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and guest service skills.
  • Proficiency in MICROS POS or a similar point-of-sale system preferred.
  • Food Handler Certification preferred.
  • Must be flexible to work morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on business needs.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Push and pull service carts.
  • Bend, reach, stoop, and climb stairs as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
