Job Description
The Creative Video Producer will work in collaboration with the rest of the video, social and design teams to promote and further the Syracuse Football brand. This role is responsible for shooting and editing all the creative and recruiting video for the Syracuse Football program. The Creative Video Producer will contribute to the overarching video and social media strategies for football and deliver engaging content for fans and recruits through video. The Creative Producer will have strong leadership skills to mentor student workers and grow them to be valuable members of our video team. This individual will also complete various other tasks as assigned by the Head Coach.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum two years producing video content and/or successful experience working in sports at the NCAA/NFL level.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and a commitment to rules compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and project a professional attitude.
  • Commitment to the recruitment of quality student-athletes.
  • Video content philosophies must be compatible with those of the Head Coach and Director of Creative Media.
  • Ability to support gender and diversity commitment of the department.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a State of New York driver's license and must be able to comply with all university requirements pertaining to driving on state business.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet requirements under pressure and willingness to work extended hours.
  • Must possess the ability to meet project deadlines and work under time constraint pressures.
  • Good organizational, communication, leadership, and computer skills.
  • Strong commitment and ability to work well with student-athletes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge in capturing video using a variety of Sony, Cannon, and Panasonic camera equipment.
  • Strong story development skills.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, postproduction experience, photography, videography.

Responsibilities
  • Producing, shooting and editing content for the Syracuse Football social media channels, including football games, features, commercials, highlights, recruiting events and more.
  • Contribute to team projects and goals that align with in-game atmosphere goals and social media content calendars.
  • Contribute to the overarching social media and video strategic plan.
  • Provides leadership, trainings, and assigns work to video intern and student workers, as applicable.
  • Other duties as assigned.
