Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Head Coach for Women's Flag Football.The primary role of this individual is to establish and execute a team philosophy centered on growing young women spiritually, intellectually, physically, and professionally. The ideal candidate will encourage a culture of discipline, unity and high achievement while maintaining Faulkner's Christian mission. Faulkner University is an NAIA Division I member and is competing in the Southern States Athletic Conference. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time, (40+ hours per week), 9-month position.
Summary of Duties:
  • Ensure program compliance with NAIA, Southern States Athletic Conference, university and athletic department rules, policies, and procedures
  • Lead and participate in fundraising activities; organize camps, clinics, community events, and other revenue-support opportunities
  • Develop and oversee yearly budget for program; collaborate in setting annual recruitment goals and scholarships
  • Establish and maintain good order and direction within the program that reflects Christian values and principles
  • Provide training, direction and encouragement to prepare athletes for games and competitive events
  • Coordinate practice schedules, game operations, travel arrangements, and official assignments
  • Cultivate and preserve positive relationships with high schools and other institutions
  • Develop, execute and sustain community service opportunities and partnerships
  • Support, participate and guide team participation in campus community events
  • Recruit and retain high quality athletes with high moral character

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of three years coaching experience required; collegiate experience preferred
  • Frequent evening / weekend hours and travel
  • Active member of the church of Christ
