Position: Senior Accountant - Full Time/Exempt
Department: Accounting & Finance
Reports to: Director of Accounting and Financial Reporting, Affiliates
Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ) NOTE: Starting 2028, this role will be based at the new Arizona Cardinals Training Facility in north Phoenix, AZ.

Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will oversee the day-to-day operations in Financial Accounting for the various affiliate companies of the Arizona Cardinals Football Club, primarily for Craft Culinary Concepts. This includes managing tasks to produce timely periodic financial reports, maintaining an adequate system of accounting records and reconciliations of the company's reported financial results, balance sheets, and ensuring that reported results comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Primary Job Duties:
The Senior Accountant will have the daily responsibilities including, without limitation, to the following:
  • Prepare and post journal entries for Cardinal's subsidiary companies including Cash, Revenue, Recurring, Inventory, Game Day, Reclassification, G&A Allocation, etc.
  • Assist Supervisor in preparing monthly commission statements for all Companies.
  • Prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts including. intercompany between affiliates.
  • Prepare and post payroll entries from UKG to GP Dynamics.
  • Review & add new GL Accounts as necessary.
  • Compile ad hoc daily/weekly/monthly reports and reconciliations.
  • Assist in annual revenue and financial audits.
  • Prepare monthly sales tax filings.
  • Maintain documentation of detailed desk procedures.
  • Assist in streamlining and automating month end close processes.
  • Support banking functions as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and take lead on special projects.
  • Build and fortify business relationships with affiliate operations teams.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (or equivalent experience), CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of accounting experience with working knowledge of recording journal entries and preparing reconciliations
  • Must have a strong concept of general accounting processes and practices
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Craft Culinary only; Experience in Food & Beverage or Real Estate Industries preferred
  • Experience with Great Plains (Microsoft Dynamics), and Excel Interfacing Software preferred
  • Experience with Concur preferred
  • Experience streamlining and automating accounting processes is a plus
  • Strong analytical, technical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, strong verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment with multiple competing priorities that require strong project management, decision-making capabilities, and flexibility
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; hours may vary depending on business needs
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment screening, including a background check
