THE PROJECT
Nebraska Athletics is embarking on one of college sports' most ambitious modernization initiatives-a $600 million renovation of the iconic Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. This multi-generational transformation will redefine the fan experience for one of college football's most passionate fanbases while establishing new revenue benchmarks for collegiate venues. Legends Global has been selected as the strategic partner to maximize this historic investment, and we seek exceptional leaders to drive this transformational moment for Nebraska Athletics.
THE ROLE
The Creative Specialist will be an integral member of the team and is the key driver for managing, designing, and delivering effective, on-brand, and on-strategy creative for multi-channel marketing campaigns. You will be responsible for executing aspirational and compelling graphics that will elevate the University of Nebraska Athletics' brand story, support our goals, and inspire our fans and alumni to engage, purchase and give. We are looking for a self-starter who is confident in his/her abilities, and able to work effectively with little supervision while managing multiple priorities. This individual should also be able to balance strategic problem solving with thought-provoking creative thinking. This position reports directly to the Director of Marketing who leads all comprehensive marketing initiatives that drive premium seating sales, season ticket revenue, and donor engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Concept and design a wide variety of graphics for Nebraska Athletics' digital marketing channels, constantly innovating and brainstorming new ways of pushing the brand.

  • Produce high-impact graphics, digital ads, email assets, landing page visuals, and sales collateral aligned with revenue goals.

  • Partner with marketing and sales leadership to ensure creative supports ticketing, premium seating, and donation revenue initiatives.

  • Create creative assets used by sales teams, including presentations, premium seating materials, and campaign collateral that help convert prospects into buyers.

  • Ensure creative aligns with campaign timelines and sales milestones tied to the Memorial Stadium renovation and premium inventory launch.

  • Translate the Nebraska Athletics brand story and Memorial Stadium transformation vision into compelling visual narratives that inspire fans to engage and purchase.

  • Actively and frequently research the Nebraska fan, their aesthetics, current trends, cultural touchpoints, brand competitors and digital platform utilization.

  • Analyze industry trends and push the thinking and digital experience for Nebraska Athletics with new and exciting solutions.

  • Work with other areas within Nebraska Athletics to seek out compelling stories and content to share with Nebraska Athletics fans and alumni.

  • Ensure projects stay on track by handling multiple moving pieces simultaneously from origin to execution.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with changing priorities.

  • Maintain brand authenticity throughout all creative assets.

  • Openly and frequently communicate with the Director of Marketing on projects and concepts.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in Digital Art & Animation, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Multimedia Design, or a closely related field.

  • 1 to 3 years' demonstrated experience in graphic design

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite on MAC; specifically, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign - experience with After Effects and Adobe Premiere is a plus

  • Advanced knowledge in digital best practices, layout design and typography.

  • Desire to think "outside the box" generating new and innovative content and tell the story of Northwestern Athletics in a dynamic way.

  • Detail oriented and highly organized.

  • Advanced understanding of digital formats across screen sizes and devices.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively at all levels both internally and externally.

  • Ability to handle multiple design projects in a fast-paced weekly workflow.
