In accordance with Article 10, Section B, of the Master Agreement, you are hereby notified of the following vacancy:
Position Overview
Monroe Public Schools is seeking a responsible, organized, and dependable individual to serve as Football Equipment Manager. The successful candidate will assist the football coaching staff with equipment management, practice and game-day operations, inventory control, and the maintenance of football equipment and facilities. This position plays a vital role in supporting the football program and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for student-athletes.
Basic Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, student-athletes, and athletic department personnel.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks associated with moving, organizing, and maintaining athletic equipment.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism while representing Monroe Public Schools.
  • Willingness to learn proper equipment fitting, maintenance, and inventory procedures.

Preferred Skills and Attributes
  • Previous experience working with athletic equipment or athletic programs is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support all aspects of the football program.
  • Commitment to student-athlete safety and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily practice setup and breakdown.
  • Work with coaches during practices to help set up and execute drills and activities.
  • Process and manage football laundry on a daily basis.
  • Learn and assist with the proper fitting and maintenance of football equipment, including helmets and shoulder pads.
  • Maintain accurate daily equipment and inventory records.
  • Assist with locker room setup and preparation for all home football games.
  • Perform game-day duties as assigned by the Head Football Coach.
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, cleaning, and repairs as needed.
  • Ensure proper storage, organization, and security of all football equipment.
  • Support the football coaching staff in maintaining an efficient and organized athletic environment.
  • Promote a positive image of Monroe Public Schools through professional conduct and teamwork.

Compensation
Compensation will be in accordance with the applicable Master Agreement and athletic stipend schedule.
