Hours: 30 hours per week โ€” full-time, benefits eligible

About the Role

As the Park Patrol Security Officer, you'll conduct continuous walking patrols of a public park in Seattle, serving as the first line of defense against crime and misuse of the property. This is an outdoor overnight post (8:00 PM โ€“ 6:00 AM): expect to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods in the elements, year-round, primarily during nighttime hours.

The client has set clear priorities for this site:

  • Prevent camping, sleeping, and drug use in the park at all times, as well as loitering after dark.
  • Prevent vandalism throughout the site โ€” with special attention to the Amenities Building.
  • Detect and deter crime using all five senses โ€” including arson, theft (cables, tools, and equipment), graffiti, and other criminal activity.

This role calls for self-discipline, strong de-escalation skills, punctuality, and a solid work ethic.
