Job Title: Security Officer - Unarmed Guard

Employment Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Location: Edmonds, Washington/Lynwood, Washington

These Part-time and Full-time positions will be located in Edmonds and Lynwood, Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular foot patrols throughout assigned interior and exterior areas to maintain a safe and orderly environment.
  • Deter unauthorized activity, disruptive behavior, and safety hazards through consistent, high-visibility presence.
  • Provide supportive customer service to onsite residents and staff, offering assistance and information when needed.
  • Follow all site-specific post orders, procedures, and APS code of conduct.
  • Respond promptly to incidents; document events clearly and accurately; and communicate effectively with supervisors, onsite personnel, and law enforcement when required.
  • Report incidents regularly throughout the shift utilizing professional language and grammar
  • Maintain a calm, professional, and approachable demeanor at all times.
  • Interact with residents in a trauma-informed, non-escalatory manner—showing patience, respect, and sensitivity to individuals who may have experienced significant hardship.


Qualifications:

  • Valid WA State Unarmed Guard License (DOL activated) - required before hire.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Professional appearance, dependable work ethic, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Prior security, law enforcement, or customer-facing experience is a plus, but not required.
