Batching Technician - 1st Shift
Department: Batching

The 1st Shift Batching Technician will play a key role in Circle's formulation, batching and product testing. The position is open & available for immediate hire and is a full-time (40 hrs/wk), Monday-Friday, position that is based at Circle's manufacturing headquarters (no remote work option).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Implementing the blending production plan by pulling the correct quantities of full bags, jugs, barrels, and boxes of ingredients according to the production schedule.
  • Stage and prepare ingredients for efficient mixing operations. Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity,, aroma, bouquet, or color.
  • Monitor gauges, pressures, temperatures, and time during the mixture of raw materials according to written formulas.
  • Partner with the QA/Lab to maintain product specs and ensure food quality
  • Clean and disinfect mixing utensils, tools, buckets, and general work areas
  • Complete batch documentation with accuracy and legibility.
  • Working alongside & coaching the production team to ensure compliance with SOPs.
  • Batch Testing: pH, Brix, TA, sensory testing.
  • Maintain general work area cleanliness and organization.
  • Experience working with Caustics, Acids, and Sanitizers used in a food manufacturing Sanitation Program.
  • Strong working knowledge of Tanks, Blending Equipment, Pumps(PDP, Centrifugal, Diaphragm) as well as CIP's.
  • Experience working with CO2 and Nitrogen gasses.
  • Strong understanding of water composition and Reverse Osmosis creation.
  • Obsessive attention to detail.
  • Glycol chiller operations and monitoring.
WHAT EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • Eligible to work in the USA
  • Ability to physically lift up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Experience working in a food or beverage production environment is preferred
  • Experience in HACCP and SQF Food Safety Systems. Preferred, but not required: you are certified in HACCP, PCQI and/or SQF Practitioner
  • Proven track record of your dedication to making safety and quality a top priority and working collaboratively in a team environment
  • Displayed reliability and work ethic through previous professional, education and/or personal experience
  • Enhanced attention to detail
