Industrial Mechanic
Position Summary
The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing mechanical equipment used in citrus juice processing and production operations. This position ensures all plant machinery operates safely, efficiently, and reliably to minimize downtime and support production goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on processing and packaging equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures involving pumps, conveyors, motors, gearboxes, valves, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Inspect machinery for wear, damage, or defects and replace components as necessary.
  • Assist in equipment startup, shutdown, and changeover activities.
  • Maintain an organized and safe work area.
  • Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), OSHA, food safety, and company safety procedures.
  • Minimum 1 year of industrial maintenance or mechanical repair experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment preferred.
  • Experience with pumps, conveyors, compressors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and maintenance equipment safely.
