Job description

Overview
Edith Bowen Laboratory School is an elementary school on Utah State University's campus, serving grades K-6. The Child Nutrition program participates in the National School Breakfast and Lunch Programs, and needs Food Service Workers who can assist the child nutrition director with food preparation, serving and cleaning up after meals, Monday-Friday, for the school year. We are looking for Food Service Workers who can work a full block of time between 8 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., as well as those who can work a few hours between 7 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. (the schedule could vary based on whether the employees are helping with breakfast and/or lunch).
Responsibilities
The Edith Bowen Laboratory School food service worker will be assigned a variety of duties, including, but not limited to food preparation, stocking, serving, dishwashing, and basic cleaning.
Qualifications
  • Food Handlers Permit or ServSafe Certificate, or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Work well with people of all ages.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Read and follow a recipe in English
  • Work independently as well as with a team through a variety of kitchen-related tasks.
