Northrop Grumman's Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams. As a Food Services Associate - Level 4 located in Promontory, UT, you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Performs a variety of tasks associated with the kitchen and dining areas. Prepares dining and serving areas. Places linen and silverware on tables for catering events to include cleaning and working in the Scullery.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off. In this job, you will: Under the direct supervision of food service management, performs basic food service functions, including preparation/serving of food items, stocking of supplies, cashiering and catering special events. Work situations are routine and regularly recurring, requiring an ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations and understand commonly used procedures and work methods.

Communication skills are employed to interact with supervisors, co-workers, and customers. Responsible for maintaining required health codes, customer satisfaction and accurate work results that are noticeable by the customer (i.e., food quality, wholesomeness, presentation, merchandising, portion control and maintenance of departmental food standards). Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. No clearance required to start High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years additional education and/or related experience.

No clearance required to start A valid driver's license. Ability to drive a small cargo van or large SUV. Position may be filled at higher level / rate pending on experience.

ServSafe Certification within 30 days of hire. Ability to be a self-starter and engage others in a professional manner. Assist coworkers and advise them according to the proper cafe guidelines.

Prepare entrees with minimal to no direction. Prepare entree items, salads, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, bakery items and other foods for distribution. Measure, mix, chop, cut, slice, stir and/or blend a variety of ingredients used in food preparation.

Prepare standardized meals according to recipe standards in a timely manner. Serve meals on serving lines; set out prepared foods; replenish containers as necessary; assist with setting up the cafeteria; assist with catering activities. Clean and sanitize work areas, tables, serving counters, tables, chairs, and food containers; prepare food and beverages for sale; count and set-up plates, trays, and utensils.

Perform routine cashiering duties if needed. Operate standard food service equipment such as slicers, warmers, and ovens. Follow established health, safety, and sanitation principles applicable to food serving and kitchen maintenance.

Prepare and maintain daily logs to include inventory food and supplies. Maintain food service facility, equipment and utensils in a clean and sanitary condition. Sweep and mop floors to assure a safe and sanitary work environment.

Operate a computer, calculator and select software. (Word, Excel, Square Sales System) Attend meetings, in-service training and workshops as assigned. Other food service duties as assigned by management.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
