Job description

Maintenance Technician
At Pilgrim's,Safety Is A Condition, which means the safety of our team members comes first - always.
In this essential role, you'll serve as the first line of response for equipment-related issues, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of machinery throughout the facility at the processing plant located in Enterprise, AL. Between the production floor and the maintenance workshop, you'll perform routine inspections, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems, and carry out preventive and emergency repairs. The role also requires mobility to respond quickly to breakdowns or safety concerns on the production floor, helping maintain a reliable, efficient, and compliant processing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Identify and apply standard symbols used in industrial documentation.
  • Diagnose and repair drive-related issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures.
  • Assist in motor testing, diagnostics, and basic repairs.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits using Ohm's Law and Kirchhoff's Laws.
  • Safely use multimeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Execute welding operations following safety and quality standards.
  • Interpret welding symbols and apply appropriate techniques for repairs and fabrication.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Maintenance and Plant Operations Team
What You'll Need
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Preferred
  • Experience: Prefer 1+ years' experience in the Maintenance Field and basic understanding of welding and electrical systems.
  • Skills:Ability to multitask and work quickly,have good communication skills, ability follow instructions, and must be a team player and be willing to work close to other employees at some stations. (Less than 3 feet apart.)
  • Physical requirements:Ability to work in environments of various temperatures, ability to stand and use hands for 8-11 hours per day.
