About the Company

Our client is an established commercial general contractor based in Atlanta with a strong reputation for customer service, teamwork, and an entrepreneurial approach to construction.

The company specializes in fast-paced commercial projects across the restaurant, fast-food, retail, banking, and convenience store sectors. With projects typically ranging from $3 million to $6 million, the organization has built a strong presence in the Greater Atlanta market through consistent execution and long-term client relationships.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager who wants to join a collaborative, entrepreneurial construction environment where individual contributions have a meaningful impact on project and company success.

About the Position

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee commercial construction projects from preconstruction through completion. The Project Manager will work closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Projects typically range from $3 million to $6 million and have relatively aggressive 5โ€“6 month schedules, making this an ideal position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial, retail, restaurant, and related construction projects from preconstruction through completion.
  • Oversee projects generally ranging from $3Mโ€“$6M in value.
  • Coordinate project activities, schedules, budgets, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with Superintendents and field teams to maintain schedule, quality, safety, and profitability.
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, contracts, purchase orders, and project documentation.
  • Review and manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and other project controls.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, customers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 3โ€“10 years of construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous Project Management experience in commercial, retail, restaurant, or similar construction.
  • Experience managing projects in the $3Mโ€“$6M range.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, contracts, and subcontractor management.
  • Experience working on fast-paced projects with approximately 5โ€“6 month schedules is highly preferred.
  • Restaurant, fast-food, retail, banking, convenience store, or similar commercial construction experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Stable career history and a demonstrated commitment to long-term employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Must be based in or willing to work from Atlanta, GA, with travel as required by project assignments.

Benefits

  • $100,000โ€“$140,000 base salary
  • Lucrative guaranteed bonuses
  • Comprehensive benefits package
  • Opportunity to work on high-profile commercial projects throughout the Greater Atlanta market
  • Entrepreneurial and team-oriented company culture
  • Strong customer relationships and repeat business
  • Opportunity for long-term career growth with an established contractor
  • Collaborative environment where Project Managers have significant ownership of their projects
