What does a food quality control manager do?

A Food Quality Control Manager oversees the processes and procedures that ensure food products meet safety and quality standards. They are responsible for developing and implementing quality control systems, inspecting production areas, and training staff on safety regulations. Their role also includes reviewing and updating compliance with food safety laws, conducting audits, and investigating any quality issues that arise. Ultimately, they help ensure that food products are safe, consistent, and meet both regulatory and company standards.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a food quality control manager?

To thrive as a Food Quality Control Manager, you need a strong background in food science, microbiology, and regulatory compliance, typically supported by a relevant degree and experience in food manufacturing.
