Job Description

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused POS Attendant to join our team. The POS Attendant plays an important role in creating an exceptional guest experience in a busy Food Hall environment by warmly welcoming guests, taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring each interaction is efficient, accurate, and positive.

The ideal candidate has a passion for hospitality and customer service, is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace. They are able to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment.

The day to day:

  • Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, professional, and attentive service.
  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
  • Process cash, debit, credit, and other forms of payment accurately and securely.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, food and beverage offerings, promotions, and pricing.
  • Answer guest questions about menu items and assist with basic food-related inquiries.
  • Communicate orders and guest requests accurately with the appropriate food vendors or kitchen teams.
  • Ensure orders are entered and processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist with basic food and beverage preparation and service duties when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming cashier and guest service area.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, cash-handling, health and safety, and workplace standards.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and seek assistance from a supervisor or manager when needed.
  • Work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced Food Hall environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and vendors to ensure a smooth and exceptional guest experience.
  • Support the team with additional front-of-house duties and other tasks as required.
Qualifications
  • Previous cashier, POS, restaurant, hospitality, or customer service experience is an asset but not required; training will be provided.
  • Friendly, approachable, and positive attitude with a genuine passion for customer service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable handling food and following food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, particularly when taking orders and processing payments.
  • Reliable, punctual, responsible, and dependable.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced Food Hall environment.
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks, systems, and service needs.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends, is an asset.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
