The Role at a glance:

We are looking to add an experienced, motivated Assistant Food Service Director to our Elior Independent School Dining team in Mobile. As an Assistant Food Service Director, you will have the opportunity to assist with overseeing all culinary, safety and sanitation, and operations functions for the account.

What you'll be doing:
  • Recruiting, training, and retaining a large staffing team, including chefs, cashiers, baristas, cooks, and catering teams. 
  • Ensuring that the operation delivers high quality food and friendly service. 
  • Ensuring that the business runs in a professional, efficient, and profitable manner. 
  • Demonstrating strong leadership and communication skills with all employees.
What we're looking for:

Must-haves: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • At least two years' experience in a supervisory role. 
  • At least two years' foodservice experience. 
  • Proven track record of financial responsibility. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong customer service skills. 

Nice-to-haves: 

  • Previous experience in school dining 
  • Previous experience with food service contract management 
  • ServSafe Manager certification. 
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree.

Compensation Range

Up to $42,000 per year depending on experience
