Job description

Job Description
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment on the new line, following recipes and safety procedures, completing required documentation, and keeping the work area clean and organized.
Machine Operator - Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work safely and follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Understand and follow all Food Safety, GMP, allergen, HACCP, food defense, and SQF requirements.
  • Read, understand, and follow production recipes and specifications.
  • Mix doughs according to established recipes and procedures.
  • Operate mixers, timers, batch recipe systems, digital scales, and other assigned production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot basic process-related issues within established recipe and production guidelines.
  • Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures and accurately document lot numbers and production information.
  • Clean and refill ingredient bins and ensure bins are labeled with the correct lot numbers.
  • Monitor and assist with upstream and downstream equipment to maintain continuous production.
  • Properly clean mixers, equipment, and work areas during and after production runs and changeovers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Immediately report food safety, quality, equipment, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Follow supervisor direction and support other members of the shift as needed.
  • Must be able to stand for the entire shift and regularly climb stairs and ladders.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and assist in other departments as needed.
  • Attend all required safety, food safety, GMP, and other company training.

1st Shift: 7:00AM-3:00PM
2nd Shift: 3:00PM-11:00PM
