Heavy Production Associate – Food Manufacturing

Pay: $15.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional Saturdays (typically 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM)
Location: Food Manufacturing Facility
Openings: 3

Company Overview

Our client is a food manufacturer producing soups, dressings, dips, and compound butters distributed to high-end restaurants. This is a hands-on production role with opportunities to learn multiple departments and advance once hired full-time.

Job Summary

The Heavy Production Associate will work in various production cells handling ingredients, batching, cooking, and packaging. This role requires consistent heavy lifting and the ability to work in temperature-controlled environments. The client is willing to train motivated, dependable individuals with a strong work ethic.

Production Areas (3 Cells)

  • Hot Side Cooking & Bagging
  • Cold Side Cooking & Bagging
  • Compound Butter Department

Work Conditions:

  • Frequent walking in and out of freezer areas
  • Temperature range: approximately 61–65°F : must wear layers
  • Heavy lifting required throughout the shift

Responsibilities

  • Lift and handle ingredient bags up to 50 lbs continuously
  • Assist with cooking, batching, and bagging processes
  • Operate pallet jack
  • Accurately measure ingredients (basic math skills required)
  • Cross-train in multiple departments
  • Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards
  • Follow production schedules and safety guidelines

Requirements

  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs on a continuous basis
  • Dependable, trainable, and positive attitude
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus (machine operation training provided)
  • Basic math skills
  • Previous food manufacturing or general manufacturing experience preferred but not required
  • Spanish-speaking candidates welcome

Compensation & Advancement
