Job description

Location: To be considered for this position, candidates must be local to the Boca Raton, FL area and available to work onsite at our HQ office four days per week (Monday-Thursday).

The Master Data Product Manager translates customer needs into system features and manages their development. The incumbent oversees the day-to-day management of Product Master Data products and services (capabilities, features, and functions) and conducts research and analysis to build and maintain a product roadmap that supports customer, supplier, and multi-channel experiences.

They will shape the strategy for master data systems and processes within Merchandising Operations in alignment with company initiatives, working cross-functionally and with leadership to ensure efficient execution of both strategy and roadmap.

The incumbent partners with key business areas to achieve targeted goals by applying continuous improvement and transformation expertise. They are proficient in automation, master data, and continuous improvement to ensure timely acquisition, accurate and complete master data.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Automation & Process Improvements:
    • Proactively identify manual or inefficient processes and propose and implement AI, automation, or system enhancements. Leverage (or develop) process improvement methodologies to achieve business goals, including designing, building, and maintaining reliable automated workflows for audits, reporting, and file delivery.
    • Ensure schedules and automations run as expected with appropriate monitoring, quick resolution of failures, and thorough testing of changes prior to production release. Serve as a subject matter expert to assist with production support issues.
  • Business Requirements & Governance:
    • Collaborate with content, asset, and data governance stakeholders to assess business issues and determine the appropriate solution approach (e.g., automation vs. system enhancement), translating policies into checks, controls, and workflows that uphold data quality and governance standards.
    • Where applicable, develop corresponding user stories that align with business requirements and planned development, and ensure thorough user testing and validation with business stakeholders.
    • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert in assisting with the resolution of production support issues.
  • Product Master Data System Support:
    • Translate complex concepts and customer needs into executable product plans by creating and maintaining a prioritized backlog. Set priorities and product development cycles for initiatives, ensuring alignment with company strategy and balancing value, risk, and urgency.
    • Actively participate in Scrum events (sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups) by clarifying priorities, ensuring upcoming work is "ready," and supporting the development team with ongoing questions.
  • Roadmap:
    • Apply knowledge of business applications, processes, and their cross-functional impacts to develop, maintain and deliver a roadmap aligned with company initiatives that support automation, process improvement and Product Master Data system enhancements.

 

Education and Experience:

  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Area of Study: Business Management, Business Administration, Project Management
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 5
  • Type of Experience:       
    • Providing application requirements for UI/UX, workflows
    • Experience with master data applications and data model
    • Virtual machine automation and scheduling
    • Process and continuous improvement experience
    • Writing AI user prompts within AI tools
  • Special Certifications: Agile, LEAN, Six Sigma certifications or related process methodologies strongly preferred
  • Technical Competencies & Information Systems:             
    • Advanced expertise in SQL Server, Excel, Project and other MS Office Products
    • MS Power Platform
    • Basic understanding of programming logic/structure
