POSITION SUMMARY

As a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician, you will act as the first checkpoint in the food safety and quality assurance program.  Reporting to the FSQA Manager, you will work closely with the Production, Packaging and Receiving teams to uphold our FSQA standards at the facility. This will involve quantitative measurements, environmental and product sampling, inspection of incoming raw materials and observation of the production/packaging process.

This opening is for 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM, Monday - Thursday.

ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES
  • Serve as Site Food Safety and Quality Culture Champion and ensure GMP policy adherence.
  • Complete monitoring activities and maintain accurate reports and records (ex. GMP records, temp logs, visual verifications).
  • Be involved in quality control activities such as receiving, facility inspections, and finished product inspections.
  • Perform post-operation and sanitation monitoring of the food processing environment and equipment;
  • Deliver FSQA training to new and existing associates.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring and equipment calibration verification, (Environmental sampling & ATP swabbing)
  • Ensure escalations are followed for product non-conformances and hold policy is followed.
  • Maintain clear and concise communication with the Operations, Procurement and Logistics teams;
  • Uphold Three Dog Brands' protocol for achieving the highest level of food safety and quality assurance.
  • Work in compliance with OSHA regulations.

QualificationsPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School or GED equivalent.
  • Able to read, write and speak technical English.
  • 1 year as a quality, maintenance, or operations technician at a manufacturer utilizing GFSI standards.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Must be able to handle different ingredients such as allergens (peanuts) and different proteins including pork products.

Preferred Requirements:

  • HACCP or PCQI Certified
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • 2-4 yrs QA in manufacturing experience with GFSI standards
  • Bilingual in Spanish or Burmese
