Job description

Sanitation Lead

Reporting to the Sanitation Manager, this position will lead all phases of sanitation on shift. The lead will be responsible for achieving results for safety, sanitation, team performance and budgeting labor. In addition, this candidate will be heavily involved in training, food safety program implementation, sanitation documentation and enforcing standard operating procedures and facility policies. Ensures that all food safety and quality requirements are met, including site standards, company policies and regulations.

Direct line sanitation during equipment downtime on all production lines to include cookies and crackers

Perform equipment and cleaning verification activities through visual inspections, allergen swabbing, indicator swabbing, and ATP

Execute facility Master Sanitation Schedule by scheduling and assigning labor based on cleaning priority and line availability, as well as supporting the Sanitation Preventative Control schedule

Act as Quality and Food Safety program subject matter expert on assigned Shift, working with the QA specialist to provide support to production lines as needed

Assist with basic maintenance and adjustment of equipment

Responsible for ensuring team is up to date on training and that all safety procedures are being followed

Support, comply and enforce facility Good Manufacturing Practices

Develop work schedules and collaborate with other leads in maximizing labor and completing required weekday and weekend work lists

Complete special projects, as assigned, to include 5s, Safety, Continuous Improvement, performing Root Cause Analysis and assisting with the implementation of Sanitation Standard Works

Other duties as assigned by Sanitation Manager or QA Manager

This individual will be required to demonstrate leadership consistent with the Campbell Leadership Model and exhibit these behaviors by promoting participative, open communication with team members and maintaining positive employment relations on the shift through fair consistent interpretation and enforcement of company policies.

Ability to set-up, operate and clean equipment in a safe and productive manner.

Obtain a forklift license and wave license within 90 days.

Fall Protection and Confined Space training within 180 days.

Enter work notifications in SAP and complete follow ups on repairs.

Correctly coding timecards in the UKG system.

Creating daily and weekly schedules and job assignments for the Sanitation team.

Completing individual development goals with team members and measure performance.

Implement and create work instructions, job breakdown Sheets, cleaning forms and sanitation operating procedures.

Respond to pest control, roof leak, drain backup, bloodborne pathogens, flour system failure and food safety incidences.

Position will regularly be required to direct and participate in weekend sanitation assignments. Will occasionally be required to attend training, meetings and perform work that may be scheduled during off shift hours.

Frequently required to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally required to reach, climb and maintain balance at height while using fall protection equipment. Capable of lifting and moving up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout a single shift.

High School Diploma or Equivalent required and ability to read, write and communicate in English

College degree, B.A./B.S., is preferred but not required based on qualifications and experience.

1 to 3 years' previous supervisory experience preferred.

Previous experience in food processing sanitation or facilities management

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

To perform this job successfully, an individual will be required to be competent in all Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and can quickly learn other software systems to include SAP, SharePoint and UKG Timekeeping.

Pay: $29.90/hour

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
