Job description

Food Prep/Cook

Mama Margie's believes in serving customers freshly made delicious Mexican Food! If you are passionate about cooking great tasting food, and your top priority is to prepare delicious Mama Margie's food according to our recipes and standards, then read on!

Duties of both positions require you to operate commercial kitchen equipment including gas stoves, fryers and ovens, choppers/dicers, along with the ability to handle knives safely. Additionally, the positions will require duties such as washing dishes, cleaning of equipment, and following all health and safety standards, while maintaining a clean work area. Prep will assist the cook as needed. You will work as a team with other team members, You will work as a team with other team members, training new team members, and assisting in other positions as needed. Mama Margie's is a fast-paced environment and all positions require attendance on the weekends and holidays (including Christmas or Christmas Eve)


This position also requires, by way of example only, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand up to 9 hours, and use motion that entails pushing, pulling, bending, stretching and continuous use of fingers and wrists, and the ability to tolerate extreme kitchen temperatures at times.
