Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Transformative Healing Services, your role will involve a variety of essential duties aimed at promoting mental well-being among students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments utilizing structured interviews, questionnaires, and observation to accurately diagnose mental health conditions.

  • Maintaining stringent compliance with HIPAA regulations while documenting clinical notes and progress reports that reflect clients' treatment journeys.
  • Engaging in multidisciplinary approaches by collaborating with school staff, including teachers, psychologists, and administrators, to ensure a holistic approach to every child's care.
  • Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest trends and research in mental health care.
  • Offering educational workshops and community outreach programs to enhance understanding of mental health issues among students and their families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves a diverse population of school-aged children and adolescents, each with unique mental health challenges ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues. Working with families and educational stakeholders, you will play a crucial role in fostering healthy coping strategies and resilience among young individuals, ultimately influencing their academic and social development.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
  • Hold an active and unrestricted LCSW license in the state of New York.
  • A minimum of 2 years of direct clinical experience, particularly focused on psychotherapy services.
  • Strong foundation in evidence-based psychotherapeutic models, particularly solution-focused interventions.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
