Job description

JOB TITLE: Production Team Lead - Second Shift EEO: Craft Worker

REPORTS: Department Supervisor

Pay Type: Direct Labor

POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead coordinates production schedules, inventory, and workflow while directing employees in daily tasks. They inspect products, document attendance, and step in for the supervisor when needed. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a plant environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reads production schedules, coordinates inventory and work available to employees

Confers with department supervisors to determine discrepancies or issue with scheduled product

Directs personnel to set up and prepare for shift start

Inspects pouches, verifies and checks rework; filling in line positions as needed

Document daily attendance issues and coordinate to supervisor.

Responsible for maintaining a continuous workflow

Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor

Work performed in a plant environment

Exposed to any number of elements (heat, steam and cold)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED required

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to push buggies weighing 800 to 1,000 lbs.

Must be able to read specifications and inspection instructions

Must be able to work under direct supervision and follow written instructions and techniques

Must possess good basic math skills

Must be able to lift 60 lbs. Over head

Must have good eye sight

Must be capable of running the department during any absence of supervisor

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Light physical effort, bending, lifting, stacking, pushing and pulling required. Continuous mental and visual attention required.
