About Us:

Navarro Pecan Company is a leading pecan processor located in Corsicana, TX, dedicated to producing high-quality pecan products. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as a Lab Technician to help ensure the safety, quality, and integrity of our food products.

Job Summary:

The Lab Technician will perform routine quality control testing of food products, environmental samples, and processing areas. The role ensures compliance with food safety standards, supports production operations, and maintains accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and prepare samples from raw materials, finished products, and production equipment
  • Accurately document all test results and maintain lab records
  • Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained
  • Assist with maintaining food safety and sanitation standards – Equipment Inspections and ATP Test.
  • Report any quality or safety issues to supervisors
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and production teams
  • Finish Product; check product for physical attributes (foreign Material, Count Per Pound, Moisture Analyzer, Salt Testing).
  • Finish Product; check product for sensory evaluation (color, odor and taste).
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a food lab or quality control environment preferred, but not required – training will be provided
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required
Work Environment:
  • Food processing plant environment with exposure to cold, heat, and food allergens (nuts)
  • Standing, walking, and lifting (up to 30 lbs) required
  • Must follow all safety and sanitation protocols
Schedule & Compensation:
  • Full-time; schedule may include weekdays and some weekends
  • Competitive hourly wage; based on experience and qualifications
