Warehouse Manager

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead our warehouse operations and manage our outbound logistics function.

We are a growing disposable food packaging company looking for a strong leader who can run an organized, accurate, and productive warehouse while taking ownership of getting our customers’ orders from our dock to their destination.

The right person will bring an entrepreneurial spirit and ownership mentality to the role. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, sees what needs to be done, and makes it happen. This person should be equally comfortable leading a team and managing day-to-day execution as they are identifying opportunities to improve processes, control costs, solve problems, and build a stronger operation as we grow.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

·         Lead daily receiving, put away, picking, packing, staging, and shipping operations.

·         Plan workloads and ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.

·         Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse.

·         Drive improvements in picking accuracy, inventory accuracy, productivity, and shipping performance.

·         Oversee cycle counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.

Team Leadership

·         Lead, train, coach, and hold warehouse employees accountable.

·         Set clear expectations for productivity, accuracy, attendance, safety, and performance.

·         Manage staffing and overtime based on operational needs.

·         Build a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Outbound Logistics

·         Own outbound freight coordination from quote through delivery, including LTL, truckload, and expedited shipments.

·         Obtain competitive freight quotes, select and book carriers, and coordinate pickups, appointments, and required shipping documentation.

·         Build and manage strong carrier and broker relationships with a focus on cost, reliability, and service.

·         Strategically evaluate freight spend, shipping lanes, and carrier performance to identify opportunities for better pricing, service, and long term transportation partnerships.

Qualifications

·         5+ years of warehouse operations experience with previous leadership or supervisory experience.

·         Strong knowledge of receiving, inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.

·         Experience coordinating LTL and truckload freight and working directly with carriers.

·         Current forklift certification and experience operating warehouse equipment.

·         Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership, initiative, and accountability.

·         Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

·         Comfortable working in a fast paced, growing small business environment and adapting as the business evolves.
