Position Summary:


The Senior Warehouse Associate is an experienced, hands-on warehouse position responsible for supporting all areas of warehouse operations within a food distribution environment.


Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of distribution warehouse experience, including food distribution experience, and be able to perform day-to-day warehouse operations independently with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across all warehouse functions as needed, including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, inventory, loading, shipping, and general warehouse operations
  • Safely operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment
  • Properly handle and rotate ambient, refrigerated/perishable, and frozen inventory using FEFO and LOT-control procedures
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and identify or report discrepancies
  • Follow food safety, warehouse safety, and operating procedures
  • Stay productive throughout the shift, do not stand around or wait for work; identify what needs to be done next and confirm with your supervisor before proceeding
  • Support less-experienced associates and assist with warehouse priorities and projects as needed

Working Conditions:

  • Regular work in freezer, refrigerated, and ambient environments; freezer work is required
  • Proper cold-weather PPE is required (insulated coveralls/jacket and snow pants, gloves, headwear, and appropriate footwear); temporary loaner gear may be available while employees obtain their own
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physical warehouse work throughout the shift

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of food distribution warehouse experience
  • Able to work across all warehouse functions, including operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and regularly work in freezer environments
  • Willing to come in early, stay late, and work Saturdays as operational needs require
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle and dependable transportation to and from work
  • High school diploma or GED required
