Job Description: Food amp; Beverage Attendant
Reports to: Floor Manager

Position Type: Part-Time

Job Summary

At Malibu Jack’s, we create a fun, clean, and safe entertainment experience for guests of all ages. Food amp; Beverage Attendants are responsible for preparing and cooking menu items, maintaining food safety standards, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting overall park operations.

All Food amp; Beverage Attendants are considered Team Members and are expected to contribute to overall park success through cross-training and shared responsibilities. Cross-training is a standard expectation of employment and supports operational flexibility. Cross-training does not automatically result in a pay increase but is required as part of team member responsibilities.

Cleanliness and facility upkeep are the responsibility of every team member. All team members are expected to assist with cleaning tasks when assigned, regardless of primary department.

What You’ll DoFood Preparation amp; Safety
  • Prepare and cook menu items (pizza, fries, chicken strips, etc.) according to recipes and procedures

  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards

  • Follow all health department regulations regarding food storage, handling, and preparation

  • Safely operate kitchen equipment and ensure proper care and maintenance

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control

Guest Service amp; Transactions
  • Provide friendly, efficient, and high-quality customer service

  • Answer guest questions and resolve concerns professionally

  • Escalate issues to management when appropriate

  • Process cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently

  • Serve beverages responsibly and check guest IDs when applicable (bartending responsibilities as needed; must be 21+)

Cleanliness amp; Facility Standards
  • Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen areas and equipment

  • Perform dishwashing and maintain organized workstations

  • Sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, empty trash, and maintain cleanliness in dining areas

  • Respond quickly to spills or hazards to maintain a safe environment

  • Complete assigned cleaning tasks promptly and thoroughly

Team Responsibilities
  • Cross-train in other park areas (attractions, groups amp; parties, front desk support, etc.) as needed

  • Assist other departments based on operational needs

  • Support overall park cleanliness and guest experience

  • Communicate effectively with team members and leadership throughout shifts

  • Maintain a safety-focused, high-quality customer service attitude at all times

  • Know emergency procedures for all areas you are trained in and follow them during an actual emergency

Qualifications
  • Previous food service experience preferred but not required

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions, recipes, and safety guidelines

  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

  • Collaborative team player who can work independently when needed

  • Strong work ethic focused on pride, dependability, and willingness to learn

Physical Demands

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays

  • Able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs without assistance
