Fontaine Specialized is a business unit within Fontaine Commercial Trailer. Precision focused on engineering, innovation, quality, and manufacturing that yields the very best trailers in the industry. Fontaine Specialized is a proven innovative industry leader in manufacturing lowbed trailers, for the commercial and military market, at its Springville, AL facility since 1993. Fontaine Commercial Trailer is a member company of the Marmon Group, a Berkshire Hathaway company, operating independently within the Heavy-Duty Transportation Group which primarily serves the heavy-duty highway transportation market.
The Fontaine Specialized Business Unit, located in Springville Alabama, is currently seeking to expand its talent pool.
Support the strategic goals through effective and efficient forecasting and planning. Develop strategies and tactics to improve supply chain and purchasing leverage while strengthening vendor relationships. Drive the implementation and valuation of strategic opportunities for cost improvement. Utilize supply partners and internal employees to drive change. Interpret reports on forecasting and demand, inventory control, transportation requirements and distribution. Determine short and long-range requirements in personnel, material, and facilities. Interface with Marketing, Customer Service, and Production Planning to ensure production and sales are aligned. Role focuses on Fulfillment/Production Planning and includes integrated business planning.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Research potential vendors and negotiate prices.
  • Measure and track savings and service level.
  • Work with management to identify supply needs.
  • Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste.
  • Record and assess all materials quality, movement, and expenditure.
  • Manage the distribution of supplies in the organization.
  • Monitor inventory levels and access to the material.
  • Collaborate with management to develop forecasting models.
  • Oversee and supporting subordinates and new employees.
  • Prepare and file detailed records on procurement activity, quantity, and vendors.
  • Design and maintain departmental budgets.
  • Ability to work onsite - Not a remote position

Qualifications
  • Solid knowledge and demonstrated understanding of sourcing and/or purchasing leadership, vendor relations, procurement, sourcing, distribution, and tracking program savings and supplier service KPI's.
  • Thorough understanding of contracts with the ability to create, draft, prepare, revise, review, and negotiate complex contract terms.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Business, Logistics, Supply Chain)
  • 10 years of industry experience with 5 years of management experience.
  • Ability to coach and be a change agent.
  • Self-directed, detail oriented, and the ability to think critically.
  • Good organizational skills and experience with working as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses, and regions.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $150,000 based on experience
