Role Overview - Evening Front of House Shift Leader in Training

This role is ideal for individuals with people or restaurant leadership experience who are ready to grow into a Chick-fil-A Shift Leader. Shift Leaders in Training gain hands-on experience across Front of House or Back of House operations, team development, and guest service—preparing them for full front-line leadership responsibilities.

This role is critical to the success of our restaurant, as Shift Leaders in Training help ensure each shift runs smoothly, our team is supported, and our guests consistently experience genuine hospitality. In this role, you will lead shifts, coach team members, and help execute our Winning Hearts Every Day strategy by driving operational excellence and delivering genuine, 2nd-mile service.

Role Type: Full-Time and Part-Time

Reports To: Restaurant Director

Availability Requirements : Leadership roles require flexibility to support the team during peak business needs.

  • Full-Time: 40–45 hours per week, with availability for a mix of opening and closing shifts (typically 4 per week)
  • Part-Time: 20-28 hours per week, with availability for a mix of opening and closing shifts (typically 3 per week)
  • Shift Window: Night 2 PM –11 PM
  • Flexibility: Schedules may vary to support the team during peak times

Daily Responsibilities & Duties

  • Lead and actively serve in day-to-day restaurant operations across all areas.
  • Respond promptly and respectfully to guest needs, resolving issues efficiently.
  • Run team member breaks, set the tone for each shift, and serve as a role model for team upholding core values of hospitality, integrity, excellence, and care
  • Open and/or close the restaurant, lead shifts, and responsibly manage key-holder duties.
  • Execute cash counts for tills and end-of-day closing procedures.
  • Support other business needs, including catering and special requests.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives
  • Ensure restaurant cleanliness standards are consistently maintained throughout operations.
