Foh Operations Manager information

What is a FOH Operations Manager?

FOH (Front of House) Operations Managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of the customer-facing side of a hospitality business, such as a restaurant, hotel, or event venue. They manage staff, ensure high-quality customer service, handle scheduling, and address guest concerns. FOH Operations Managers also coordinate with the kitchen or back-of-house team to ensure smooth service and maintain health and safety standards. Their goal is to create a welcoming environment and ensure efficient, effective operations on the floor.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a FOH Operations Manager?

To thrive as a FOH Operations Manager, you need solid experience in hospitality management, strong organizational skills, and a good understanding of customer service standards, often supported by a degree in hospitality or related field. Familiarity with POS systems, reservation management software, and health and safety protocols is typically required. Exceptional communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills help you motivate teams and create a welcoming guest environment. These abilities are crucial for ensuring smooth operations, high guest satisfaction, and effective team performance in a fast-paced hospitality setting.

How does a FOH Operations Manager typically collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth restaurant service?

A FOH (Front of House) Operations Manager works closely with kitchen staff to coordinate timing, manage special requests, and address issues as they arise during service. This involves regular communication before and during shifts, participation in pre-service meetings, and acting as a liaison to resolve any miscommunications between the dining area and kitchen. Ensuring a positive relationship between FOH and BOH (Back of House) teams is crucial to delivering excellent guest experiences and maintaining efficient operations. Successful managers foster teamwork, facilitate clear communication, and help mediate any conflicts that may impact service quality.

Front of House Manager – Corporate DiningAbout Très LA Group

Très LA Group is a hospitality company built around creating thoughtful, memorable experiences through exceptional food, service, and design. Our portfolio spans corporate dining, catering, events, and distinctive venues, all connected by a shared commitment to hospitality and attention to detail.

At the heart of our approach are our signature TNTs — Tiny Noticeable Touches: the thoughtful details that transform great service into an exceptional experience. Within our corporate dining division, we bring that philosophy into the workplace by creating welcoming, high-quality dining experiences tailored to the culture and needs of each client and community we serve.

The Role

We’re looking for an experienced Front-of-House (FOH) Manager to lead the daily FOH operations of a high-volume corporate dining café.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves hospitality, develops strong teams, and knows how to create an organized, welcoming, and consistently excellent guest experience. You’ll lead the FOH team, partner closely with culinary and management teams, and ensure that service, safety, presentation, and daily operations meet our standards.

Flexibility to support multiple café locations may occasionally be required.

What We Offer
  • $75,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience
  • Monday–Friday schedule — no nights or weekends!
  • 2 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • 12 paid holidays off
  • Paid sick leave
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options
  • Life insurance (company sponsored)
  • Complimentary meals during your shift
  • Free on-site parking
  • Access to complimentary gym membership
What You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, train, and develop the Front of House team
  • Set the standard for warm, polished, and attentive hospitality
  • Oversee daily café operations and ensure smooth, efficient service
  • Create weekly FOH schedules and manage daily staffing needs
  • Conduct pre-service and ongoing quality checks of stations, displays, beverages, and FOH-prepared items
  • Partner closely with culinary leadership to ensure seamless execution between FOH and BOH
  • Participate in menu meetings and coordinate weekly menus and café signage
  • Ensure accurate allergen, ingredient, and menu information is communicated to guests
  • Lead ongoing training around food safety, HACCP, allergens, workplace safety, and operational standards
  • Conduct regular team meetings, coaching, and performance conversations
  • Partner with Talent/HR on recruiting, onboarding, and developing FOH team members
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and applicable health, safety, and employment requirements
  • Monitor operational systems, reporting, and daily meal-count data for accuracy
  • Oversee FOH inventory, supplies, equipment, and ordering needs
  • Identify and quickly resolve service, equipment, cleanliness, and operational concerns
  • Support sustainability initiatives and responsible operating practices
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve service, efficiency, and the overall guest experience
What You Bring
  • 7+ years of hospitality experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or comparable management role
  • Experience in corporate dining is a HUGE PLUS!
  • Experience managing teams in high-volume hospitality, restaurant, or café
  • Strong understanding of food service operations, food safety, allergens, and sanitation standards
  • A genuine hospitality mindset and commitment to exceptional service
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-development skills
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidence balancing multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and digital operational tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Management, or a related field preferred
Requirements
  • Current California Food Protection Manager certification or ability to obtain required certification
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening
  • Availability to work Monday–Friday, approximately 6:00 AM–3:00 PM
  • Professional and polished presence appropriate for a client-facing leadership role
Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on hospitality position. The role regularly requires standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive movements. Employees must also be able to safely lift and move items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Join Our Team

If you’re a hospitality leader who loves building great teams, creating exceptional guest experiences, and finding ways to make operations better every day, we’d love to meet you.

Come bring your leadership, hospitality, and own Tiny Noticeable Touches to Très LA Group.
