Description
The Front of House (FOH) Manager leads day-to-day restaurant operations with a strong emphasis on guest service, bar performance, cleanliness, and staff leadership. This role ensures a consistently positive dining experience that reflects Jalapeño Tree's commitment to Crazy Good Mexican Food™.
The FOH Manager oversees scheduling, training, guest interaction, product quality, and service execution. Key responsibilities include coaching FOH team members, managing bar and beverage cost controls, maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, and driving performance through shift leadership. All managers complete initial training in Tyler, TX before transitioning to their assigned store.
Requirements
Experience & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years as an FOH Manager or successful Assistant Manager in a full-service restaurant
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license

Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage FOH operations, scheduling, and bar service
  • Skilled in coaching, development, and performance feedback
  • Proficient in POS systems and restaurant software (e.g., Aloha, Microsoft Office, Compeat)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and guest satisfaction focus
  • Able to uphold a clean, professional, inclusive work environment

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand/walk for long periods, move quickly, bend, twist, lift up to 50 lbs
  • Exposure to varying temperatures in kitchen, freezer, and bar environments
  • Frequent handwashing and repetitive motion
  • Able to read/write, operate computer and telephone
  • 50-55 hours per week, including weekends and holidays

  • Hiring, discipline, and onboarding of FOH staff
  • Maintaining payroll records and employee status updates
  • Rolling out new menus, products, and promotions
