Job description

LOCATION - US or Canada (Eastern or Central Time Zone)

We are growing our architecture team and seeking an experienced candidate across two tightly coupled tracks. Both sit at the intersection of customer-facing strategy and hands‑on Salesforce expertise, and both share the same core requirements. As a Salesforce Solution Architect at Aquiva, your responsibilities will span both pre‑sales (solution design, project approach, resourcing and more), whilst the Forward Deployed Engineer responsibilities are weighted toward billable, hands‑on delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Solution Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong consulting and customer‑facing acumen, a product mindset, and Salesforce ecosystem experience.

Work closely with sales teams to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.

  • Help Aquiva’s business grow by leading pre‑sales activities
  • Conduct customer discoveries and create solution proposals
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable solutions
  • Develop and present future vision, articulating the technical feasibility, business impact, and ROI to executive stakeholders
  • Lead paid consulting engagements related to ideation, vision/roadmap/POC creation, solution and technical architecture blueprints
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Salesforce products and best practices and apply initiative to explore and understand new Salesforce offerings and industries
  • Apply your technical and product management skills to drive customers' and partners' roadmaps and solution designs
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on the ongoing delivery of solutions
  • Create reusable assets, speak at conferences and webinars and contribute to content creation
  • Embed with customer teams as a hands‑on, billable architect and engineer throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Design and build production solutions on the Salesforce platform
  • Turn solution and technical architecture blueprints into working, tested, deployable software, including external system integrations, and data modeling
  • Build proofs of concept and prototypes during pre‑sales and discovery, then evolve them into production‑grade delivery
  • Work hands‑on with Data Cloud and Agentforce
  • Act as the trusted technical advisor on site, unblocking customer developers and raising the bar on engineering practices
  • Feed learnings from delivery back into reusable assets, accelerators, and content
REQUIREMENTS
  • Experience in a customer‑facing role with an ability to capture requirements and demonstrate value
  • Experience working as a technical/solution/enterprise architect in leading technical and business workshops
  • Experience in creating solutions and technical architecture artefacts
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling customer‑facing presentations in a timely manner
  • 5+ years of experience in pre‑sales or consulting, with a focus on Salesforce
  • Experience working for a Salesforce SI, ISV, PDO or as part of Salesforce's internal consulting, ISV or pre‑sales teams
  • Must be committed to personal development and maintaining relevance, both in industry trends, technology solutions and SaaS Hyperscalers such as AWS, GCP, Azure or similar
  • Fluency with AI powered coding agents for accelerating prototypes, development, presentation and other material
  • Passionate about helping customers with AI & data transformation and adoption
  • Interest and experience in topics related to AI and data (ideally with hands‑on experience with Data Cloud and Agentforce)
DESIREABLE
  • Salesforce certification(s) are not mandatory but preferred (Platform App Builder, Developer I and II, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Data Architect, Application Architect, Integration Architect, Identity and Access Management Architect, Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect, System Architect, Marketing Cloud Developer, Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, any of the Consultant certifications)
