Full-Time | No Spray Foam Experience Required | Opportunity for Advancement

Spray Foam Technologies, Inc. is looking for a motivated, dependable and energetic individual to join our team as a full-time Spray Foam Applicator Assistant.

No spray foam experience is required. We will train the right person.

This is an opportunity to learn a skilled trade from an established insulation contractor with over 50 years in the industry. We are looking for someone who wants more than just a temporary job — ideally, someone interested in learning spray foam application and working toward advancement into an Applicator and eventually Lead Applicator position.

• Able to communicate effectively in English with crew members and management, including the ability to clearly understand work instructions and safety-related information

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a driving record acceptable to our commercial auto insurance carrier
• Ability to safely operate company pickup trucks and tow cargo trailers
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain/maintain a DOT medical card as required to operate company vehicles
• Ability to pass a respirator medical evaluation and respirator fit test and safely wear a full-face respirator while working
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Ability to pass required background checks for certain public projects, including schools
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push and pull heavy equipment and materials for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding and work at heights
• Ability to crawl and work in attics, crawl spaces and other confined or restricted areas
• Ability to perform physically demanding work while wearing required PPE, including protective suits and full-face respirators
• Ability to report each workday to our shop in East Stroudsburg, PA, unless instructed to report directly to a jobsite

Experience towing a cargo trailer or working with mechanical equipment is a plus, but not required.

All required personal protective equipment will be provided.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Applicator Assistant, you will work directly with an experienced spray foam applicator and assist with all aspects of the installation process. Responsibilities include:

• Preparing and protecting work areas from spray foam overspray using plastic, masking materials and other protective coverings
• Moving or protecting customer belongings as necessary
• Assisting the applicator by managing and moving the spray hose during installation
• Moving and positioning scaffolding and other equipment
• Assisting with operation and monitoring of spray foam equipment under the direction of the Lead Applicator
• Preparing framing for drywall by removing excess foam where necessary
• Performing daily jobsite cleanup, including sweeping, scraping floors, bagging foam debris and using backpack blowers and other equipment
• Loading, unloading and organizing tools, materials and equipment
• Keeping the spray rig, company vehicles and jobsite clean and organized
• Completing required daily project documentation
• Following all company safety procedures and instructions from the Lead Applicator

As you gain experience and demonstrate reliability, good judgment, equipment knowledge and quality workmanship, you will have opportunities to learn spray foam application, equipment operation and maintenance, troubleshooting, building science and other aspects of the trade.
