  • Proven experience managing complex and escalated employee situations requiring judgment, risk assessment, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Experience identifying operational gaps, developing business requirements, creating standard operating procedures, and implementing process improvements that improve compliance, efficiency, or employee experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data, trends, audits, and case insights to identify root causes and drive operational improvements.

  • Apply expert knowledge of federal leave and disability accommodation requirements, including FMLA, ADA/ADAAA, PWFA, USERRA, and applicable state leave laws, to support complex case resolution, policy interpretation, operational decisions, and process design.
  • Analyze and coordinate interactions between federal leave protections, state paid family and medical leave programs, company policies, disability benefits, payroll processes, and vendor administration to ensure consistent and compliant employee outcomes.
  • Communicate and consult with employees, managers, business leaders, Payroll, Legal, Compliance, Total Rewards, Business HR, and vendor partners to resolve complex leave and accommodation issues.
  • Build overall team capability through training, knowledge sharing, and documentation of action(s) taken on complex cases.
  • Review case trends, escalations, operational metrics, and employee feedback to identify root causes, process gaps, and service delivery risks.
  • Design, implement, document, and sustain process improvements, governance controls, and standard operating procedures that improve compliance, efficiency, and employee experience.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving process changes, system enhancements, vendor performance improvements, and operational transformation efforts.
  • Lead audit remediation activities, compliance reviews, and quality assessments, implementing corrective actions that strengthen process controls and mitigate operational risk.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and data integrity within Workday, ServiceNow, and related systems to support compliance, reporting, and payroll coordination.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for leave and accommodation programs, providing guidance on complex scenarios and influencing consistent execution across teams and stakeholders.
