Project Manager with experience doing a financial system implementation (Ex: ADP, SAP, Concur, Salesforce, PeopleSoft, Coupa, etc.) Must have experience working and coordinating with multiple cross functional teams and vendors. Experience as the Project Manager and at times acting Scrum Master

Job Description

The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of large-sized projects in the Finance/HR space. He/ She will be responsible for planning, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of projects including delivering every project on time, within budget and scope. Ideal candidates should have a continuous improvement mindset. Candidates familiar with Finance/ HR processes and practices and/ or a high degree of familiarity with Fin/HR tools and technologies are preferred. Additionally, he/she should have a good understanding of vendor procurement, RFP process and contract negotiations.

  • Understand overall project objective, work with project lead to define requirements, roles, and scope
  • Create and manage comprehensive project plans
  • Effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners, delegate and follow up on action items
  • Track project milestones and communicate regular status updates to stakeholders
  • Facilitate project meetings and brainstorm sessions
  • Identify and mitigate risks/conflicts from an objective point of view, in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate good judgement and the ability to make important decisions under pressure
  • Drive innovation and improvement of assigned area of responsibility, processes, systems, and tools; introduce new technologies and ideas

  • 8 - 10 years experience in project management and leading a cross-functional project team, PM certifications a plus
  • Ability to lead teams both via Agile, Waterfall methodology or a combination of the two. Familiarity with Scrum ceremonies.
  • Experience managing strategic initiatives and cross functional project teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based collaboration applications

Bachelors Degree in a related discipline is preferred or equivalent experience
