Position Summary

Redington is the go-to provider of accessible fly-fishing rods, reels and apparel for the value conscious angler. Fly Water Travel provides world-class on-the-water experiences.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations for Far Bank Enterprises and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records. This role plays a critical part in the monthly financial close process, account reconciliations, financial analysis, regulatory compliance, and audit support. The Senior Accountant works closely with departments across the organization to maintain strong internal controls, improve accounting processes, and provide financial insight that supports business growth and operational excellence. A successful Senior Accountant will own their areas of responsibility, stay current with accounting guidance and business trends, will be proactive in finding solutions to problems, and will be dedicated to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and other month-end adjustments.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner.
  • Analyze financial results and investigate variances from budget, forecast, and prior periods.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.
  • Review general ledger transactions for completeness and accuracy.
Cash and Receivables Management
  • Prepare and review bank reconciliations and cash activity.
  • Monitor and reconcile treasury transactions, merchant processing, and other cash-related accounts.
  • Forecast cash inflows, requirements, and balances.
  • Ownership of accounting owned systems such as ePAY, Treasury automation suite, all banking and credit card platforms, and ERP system.
  • Collaborate with customer support and repairs teams to resolve repairs and AR credit issues in a timely manner.
Audit, Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external auditors.
  • Maintain effective internal controls and documenting accounting procedures.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement efficiency enhancements within accounting workflows.
  • Lead the Finance & Accounting department in ERP system enhancements, testing, and process documentation.
  • Provide financial analysis and accounting support for business initiatives and special projects.
  • Serve as a resource for accounting-related questions across the organization.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts including Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other accounting-related applications.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Proven profit improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles.
  • Experience with monthly financial close processes and account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Sage, Epicor, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
  • CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification.
  • Public accounting experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing, consumer products, outdoor sporting goods, or related industries.
  • Experience supporting organizations with revenues between $25M and $100M.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools, financial reporting systems, or process automation initiatives.
  • Interest in fly fishing is a plus!
