JUNIOR FOREST TECHNICIAN


Landmark Solutions Ltd. (Landmark) is currently looking to add Junior Forest Technicians to our team, with opportunities for the individual to grow within our Natural Resources Department and other sectors of the Landmark business.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

This position is a valuable contributor to the Landmark team. As a Junior Forest Technician, you will work with safety as a top priority. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • GPS traversing.
  • Timber Cruising Assistant.
  • Riparian Assessments.
  • Assisting with Timber Reconnaissance.
  • Assisting with Timber Development Projects.
  • Completion of safety reports through Site Docs.
  • Have a strong awareness and attitude towards workplace health and safety.

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

The successful candidate will be a student or graduate of a post secondary forestry or natural resources program. Other requirements include:

  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Self motivated and the ability to work under limited direct supervision.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of adverse weather conditions and steep slopes.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License with clean driving record and the confidence to drive safely in a variety of road conditions.
