Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced EP Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of EP and Cath Lab experience for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care electrophysiology lab.

Details
  • Located in an acute care hospital electrophysiology lab with 3 EP suites operated as a combined, one-team unit
  • Performs electrophysiology procedures including ablations, A-fib, A-flutter, and advanced EP interventions in a high-acuity lab
  • Average of 22 total cases between the Cath Lab and EP Lab; may begin with 15 cases with potential add-on cases
  • Uses St. Jude and Webster EP equipment; Epic EMR (experience preferred)
  • Role involves circulating and assisting; core staff handles the majority of documentation; scrubbing in is not required
  • 10-hour day shifts, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, no call required
  • 13-week contract
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in both EP Lab and Cath Lab settings
  • Active RCIS or RCES certification required; BLS required; license required if applicable
  • Active certifications must be current at time of consideration — pending certifications are not accepted
  • Experience with sedation and Phase 1 recovery required; ICU or PACU experience is a plus
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • COVID vaccination required
  • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Works alongside a charge or lead nurse and a lead tech (when staffing allows) in a collaborative, one-team environment
  • Candidates are expected to be team players and assist across the combined unit as needed
  • One week of orientation provided
  • Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by a CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
