TravelNurseSource is working with Concentric Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Telemetry RN in St. Louis, Missouri, 63128!

Job Title

Travel RN – Cardiac Telemetry (Nights)

Location

Saint Louis, MO

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups on a fast-paced, high-acuity cardiac telemetry unit
  • Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms including AFib, flutter, and SVT; manage patients with CHF, chest pain, renal conditions, and hemodialysis needs
  • Administer and monitor cardiac drips including Amiodarone and Cardizem; maintain and care for central lines including HD catheters, Ports, and PICCs
  • Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
  • Float as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit; work every other weekend as required by the facility
  • Maintain patient rights, confidentiality, and perform duties consistent with established nursing practice guidelines and the Missouri Nurse Practice Act
Required Qualifications
  • Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient cardiac telemetry experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry rhythms
  • Experience working with CHF, chest pain, renal, and hemodialysis patients
  • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with Tikosyn and Sotalol initiation; familiarity with dopamine, dobutamine, lidocaine, nitroglycerin, and milrinone drips
  • Experience managing chest tubes, other drains, and CIWA (withdrawal) protocol
  • Experience with overflow patient populations including sepsis, urology, surgical, ETOH/drug withdrawal, isolation, and GI bleed patients
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
