Job description

About the Position

Ensemble Schools is seeking a fun, experienced, and professional violin/piano instructor to teach at Reeder Music Academy in Danville, CA. We are looking for teachers who will instruct in person. The ability to teach additional instruments is a plus!

Teachers can set their availability within our open hours as needed, but both students and school staff appreciate consistency and preference will be given to candidates with greater availability. Our current studio availability for this position is Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 3pm-8pm.

Successful candidates will have a strong music background evidenced by a degree in music performance, pedagogy, or equivalent performing experience, a demonstrated love of teaching, experience working with young musicians, a robust appreciation for punctuality, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a routine background check.

Instructor pay is commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $40-$45/hour. A 401(K) program with employer matching is available to all of our employees after 30 days on the job. Health benefits options are available for all part- and full-time employees at Ensemble.

Private lessons are recommended for students at the advanced- beginner level and higher, and for total beginners who want to progress at the fastest rate possible.
