Position Summary
  • We are seeking a simulation-focused Mechanical Engineer with strong expertise in CFD, chemical reaction modeling, gas-phase chemistry, reacting-flow simulations, and multiphysics analysis. This role will support the design and optimization of complex equipment, components, process chambers, and gas delivery systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CFD and multiphysics simulations involving fluid/gas flow, heat transfer, mass transfer, species transport, chemical reactions, stress, and material response.
  • Develop and validate physics-based models for chemical reactions, reaction kinetics, gas-phase chemistry, and surface reactions.
  • Conduct reacting-flow simulations and coupled thermal, fluid, mass transfer, and chemical kinetics analyses.
  • Support simulation-driven design and optimization of gas delivery systems, thermal management solutions, process equipment, and advanced materials.
  • Calibrate and validate models using experimental data and engineering principles.
  • Analyze results, identify design improvements, and support troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations with modeling results and engineering recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Plasma Physics, or a related field.
  • Strong experience with CFD and multiphysics simulations.
  • Experience with chemical reaction modeling, reaction kinetics, reacting-flow CFD, or species transport.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer, and gas flow dynamics.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and technical presentation skills.
Preferred Simulation Tools
  • ANSYS Fluent – Strong Preference
  • STAR-CCM+
  • COMSOL Multiphysics
  • Simcenter 3D or similar tools
  • Experience with two or more major simulation platforms is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience modeling gas delivery systems, process chambers, vacuum systems, or complex engineering equipment.
  • Semiconductor, plasma processing, etch, deposition, or process equipment experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Chemkin, Cantera, ANSYS Fluent UDFs, COMSOL Reaction Engineering, or similar modeling tools.
