Job description

The Heart Failure Clinic RN provides professional nursing care and clinical support to patients receiving care through the Heart Failure program. This position works collaboratively with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, medical assistants, and other members of the multidisciplinary heart failure team to promote safe, timely, and effective patient care.


Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Possess a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License. Current CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred.
Experience:
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff. Ability to communicate clearly. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Knowledge of the organizations policies and procedures. Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
