Job Overview:

As a Flowback Operator I, you will be responsible for overseeing the flowback process during oil and gas operations. Your duties will include monitoring and recording flowback data, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure the smooth operation of oil and gas projects.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Learning the skills to be responsible for a specific 12-hour shift operating equipment on site.
  • Responsible for safe and proper use of hand tools.
  • Responsible for assisting in loading and unloading equipment being shipped and arriving on site for the job or job type to be undertaken.
  • Rig up and rig down of site equipment as instructed.
  • Learn to gather and record data and operate equipment by Operator III, Operator II, and Operator, including but not limited to exploration, production, in-line well testing, stimulation recovery, and flowback for our customer.
  • Learn proper maintenance, repair, and service of equipment, including compressors, generators, pumps, etc., as instructed by Operator III and the Field Supervisor.
  • Learn to repair and service equipment in the shop and the field.
  • Site-specific duties include essential motor maintenance on generator sets and compressors as well as any other duties specified by Operator II and Operator III. Duties and responsibilities will increase as you progress.
  • Ongoing communications, including half-hourly data reporting to Operator III and Field Supervisor.
  • Service and care of field service vehicles, tools, and command center on location.
  • Operators must continuously gain knowledge in all aspects of their jobs from ongoing training supplied by Trilogy staff on location.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to read and understand important documents such as mandatory safety rules, operating manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to apply safety training and procedures in emergency type situations on location.
  • Good math and computer skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent mechanical knowledge and ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work and drive safely in various weather conditions and environments.

Qualification Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. General oilfield experience is acceptable as an offset to minimal education.
  • Must be able to travel for extended amount of time and be on call 24/7.
  • Must maintain a safe driving record as required by company policy.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening as required by company policy.

Physical Requirements:

  • Proper implementation of PPE; hard hat, safety glasses, steel/protected toe boots, hearing protection, H2S monitor, etc.
  • Must be able to lift and move materials up to 75 pounds frequently, anything above 75 pounds requires mechanical assistance or a team lift.
  • Requires pushing and pulling, bending, standing, kneeling, carrying, sitting, climbing for extended periods of time each shift.
  • Must be able to swing a sledgehammer repeatedly.
  • Exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
  • Exposure to warm, hot, and cold temperatures.
