Job Description: We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Field Sales Specialist Manager for an assigned territory. This role offers an exciting opportunity to represent Cavalier Distributing Florida and our portfolio in the dynamic Florida market. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, outgoing personality, professional demeanor, and a willingness to learn on the job.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with retail partners.
  • Interview, hire, coach, and continually assess Field Sales Specialists and territory needs.
  • Train, inspect, and track direct reports sales goals, closing rates, and other metrics as assigned.
  • Hold direct reports accountable to route sales plan execution.
  • Serve as the connection point with the Leadership Team to ensure effective product placement, merchandising, reset completions and promotion of our products.
  • Maintain positive and consistent interaction with store level and local chain leaders.
  • Execute all sales priority and initiatives for assigned territory, accomplishing timely and productive execution of preplans, recaps, and tracking as assigned.
  • Ensure a culture of learning by coaching and developing team members including field sales specialists, merchandisers, and delivery partners.
  • Ensure proper retail pricing, signs, and merchandising strategies to optimize product visibility and drive sales.
  • Responsible for appropriate placement and effective utilization of point-of-sale material.
  • Sell and maintain incremental displays with proper pricing and merchandising, as assigned.
  • Assess product rotation at retail to maximize product freshness.
  • Communicate daily/weekly/monthly account activities to appropriate parties through pre-plans and account/market recaps.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with Cavalier teammates.
  • Provide product knowledge training to retail staff.
  • Conduct product tastings and promote brand awareness.
  • Represent Cavalier Distributing Florida standards every day in market, at industry events and trade shows as required.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in team management, account sales management, merchandising, retail sales, or other experience working with consumer-packaged goods.
  • Positive attitude and outgoing personality.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn, take direction and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite with ability to utilize company issued technology.
  • Must be able to lift products from 25 lbs. to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and must be able to pass a post-offer background check.
  • Must have reliable automobile transportation, maintain an acceptable driving record and valid driver's license, and maintain auto insurance coverage at least to the minimum amount specified by the Company and state law.
