Admitting Registrar

Location: Florence Hospital

Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and women's services. Florence Hospital, a campus of Mountain View Medical Center, is a 36-bed hospital offering emergency care, as well as surgical, imaging and laboratory services to residents of Pinal County. Our patients have access to a full range of excellent health care across our two campuses.

Arranges for the efficient and orderly admission of patients and individuals who have hospital based outpatient testing or procedures. Ensures that the patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. Interviews incoming patient or representatives and enters information required for admission into computer database. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments.

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service, written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and able to problem solve.
  • Typing speed of 35-40 WPM.
  • Ability to work under stressful situations and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dependable, self-motivated and have a flexible work schedule.
  • Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing.

Preferred:

  • Prior Admitting experience, medical terminology and medical insurance knowledge strongly desired.
  • Previous Billing/Collection experience preferred.
