Job Description

The Hospital Transporter reports to the Division Operations Manager and operates under general supervision. This role is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transport of patients throughout the MUSC campus while maintaining a high standard of patient care. Additionally, this position supports the movement and position of essential medical equipment, including wheelchairs, oxygen tanks, beds, and related items, within the hospital.

Schedule: On an as needed basis

Education: High School Degree or Equivalent

Work Experience: Strong customer service and/or patient care experience needed.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • BLS or CPR Required. If not BLS Certified, then certification must be obtained within 30 days of Hire.

  • Minimum Valid driver's license in the State of SC Handle with Care Crisis De-escalation course Completion of IAHSS Basic Certification within six (6) months of hire Preferred
