Location: A Divine Event is located in Norcross, GA with installations taking place on site at Wedgewood Weddings Venues
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday or Wednesday–Sunday, with regular weekend availability required

Pay Range: $26-$30 based on experience
Position Type: Part-Time, event based scheduling

Wedgewood Weddings is seeking an experienced Senior Wedding Floral Designer to join our Atlanta design studio and make an immediate impact on the quality, consistency, and execution of our wedding and event floral designs.

This is a senior hands-on design role for a highly skilled wedding floral professional who can step confidently into a fast-paced production environment, produce elevated floral work, lead event installations, and help raise the standard of execution across the team.

The ideal candidate has significant wedding and event floral experience, strong technical mechanics, excellent speed and consistency, and the ability to execute full-scale designs with minimal direction. This person understands not only how to create beautiful floral work, but how to produce it efficiently, organize it clearly, transport it safely, install it professionally, and troubleshoot it calmly under real event deadlines.

We are looking for someone who can immediately contribute at a high level: designing, leading, improving processes, supporting team standards, and ensuring that every floral piece, ceremony design, centerpiece, personal flower, and installation leaves the studio event-ready and fully aligned with our design expectations.

About the Role

The Senior Wedding Floral Designer is responsible for producing high-quality wedding and event florals, supporting production flow, leading installations, and helping maintain design consistency across multiple venues.

This role requires someone who is confident creating polished, professional floral work at scale. You should be comfortable designing from recipes, inspiration images, approved client notes, and established company standards while also knowing when to flag concerns, adjust mechanics, improve efficiency, and solve production challenges before they become event-day issues.

This is not an entry-level florist position. This is a Senior Floral Designer role for someone with strong wedding floral experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesSenior Floral Design & Production
  • Design and execute high-quality wedding and event florals, including:
    • Bridal bouquets
    • Bridesmaid bouquets
    • Centerpieces
    • Ceremony florals
    • Corsages and boutonnieres
    • Floral accent pieces
    • Large-scale floral installations
    • Arch, arbor, urn, aisle, and statement floral designs
  • Produce floral designs efficiently while maintaining strong standards for mechanics, proportion, color balance, shape, texture, freshness, and overall presentation.
  • Execute approved floral recipes, design notes, mood boards, timelines, and production schedules with accuracy and consistency.
  • Create full-scale wedding and event designs at a high level with minimal supervision.
  • Identify design, product, mechanics, or quality concerns and communicate solutions quickly.
  • Support floral substitutions when needed while preserving the approved design style, color palette, and client expectations.
  • Maintain strong standards for hydration, conditioning, flower care, and product longevity.
  • Help ensure that all completed designs are polished, accurate, labeled, packed correctly, and ready for transport or installation.
Installation Leadership
  • Lead and support floral and event design installations across Wedgewood Weddings venues.
  • Install arches, ceremony pieces, centerpieces, candles, equipment, floral accents, and décor according to approved design plans.
  • Ensure all event designs are placed accurately, securely, cleanly, and in alignment with venue and company standards.
  • Troubleshoot on-site design, setup, mechanics, timing, or product issues calmly and professionally.
  • Direct or support team members during event setup to ensure efficient and accurate execution.
  • Maintain a professional, guest-aware presence while working on-site.
  • Communicate clearly with the studio team, venue team, and leadership regarding event progress, concerns, changes, and completion.
  • Confirm that event spaces are left clean, polished, photo-ready, and fully aligned with the client’s approved design.
Production Standards, Organization & Team Support
  • Help cultivate a culture of accuracy, speed, cleanliness, accountability, and pride in the finished product.
  • Maintain organized floral coolers, prep areas, design stations, tools, inventory, and shared workspaces.
What We’re Looking For
  • Preferred: 5+ years of professional floral design experience.
  • Advanced floral mechanics, including arches, urns, large-scale designs, personal flowers, and transport-safe construction.
  • Strong eye for color, balance, proportion, texture, movement, and overall floral composition.
  • Ability to design quickly and consistently in a high-volume wedding production environment.
  • Ability to follow recipes and standards while also bringing senior-level judgment and problem-solving.
  • Strong organization, communication, cleanliness, and time-management skills.
  • Calm, solutions-oriented mindset under deadlines and event-day pressure.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 30–40 lbs.
  • Weekend Availability Required
Ideal Candidate

You may be a strong fit for this role if you have worked as a senior floral designer, lead wedding florist, event floral designer, floral installation lead, studio production lead, or experienced freelance wedding designer and are ready for a more consistent role within a growing event design operation.

You are someone who can walk into a busy event week, understand the priorities, organize the work, produce beautiful designs, support the team, and help make the department better right away.

You take pride in polished mechanics, clean workspaces, accurate recipes, organized pulls, strong communication, and beautiful event execution. You care about the finished product, but you also care about the systems that make beautiful work repeatable.

Why Join Wedgewood Weddings
