Job description

Pay Range: $18.75- $28.75
SUMMARY
Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Responsible for operation of the entire floral department. Oversees clerks within department and monitors for the proper merchandising, rotation and inventory levels of product to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Assists the Produce Manager in ensuring that policies regarding merchandising and training are followed. Receives guidance from the Produce Manager relating to the policies and procedures regarding floral operations, merchandising and training. Ensures adherence to all policies and procedures regarding floral operations, merchandising and training.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for monitoring, controlling and attaining the Floral Department financial budgets. Ensures budgeted sales, gross profit and shrink level are met to achieve CTO dollars.
Responsible for ordering all merchandise and supplies for the Floral Department in order to achieve the overall department conditions as per company standards.
Responsible for the overall merchandising of the Floral Department, including product arrangements, displays, rotation and FTD.
Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation, according to 5S standards, at all times.
Display and express a complete knowledge of all floral products to the customer.
Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
Responsible for observing local market conditions and competitive activity relating to Floral Department and keep store management and floral merchandising informed.
Responsible for ensuring the delivery of floral arrangements upon customer requests.
Ensure that all customer orders and deliveries are accurately fulfilled.
Responsible for hiring and training of all Floral associates in accordance with all corporate and state policies and procedures and scheduling to satisfy business needs.
Ensure that all corporate and state sanitation and safety regulations and procedures are followed.
Ensure quality and freshness of all fresh flowers and live plants.
Responsible for maintaining a high level of customer service and courtesy at all times with customers throughout the store.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills. High School Degree or equivalent. 3+ years of related experience.
