Job description

Job Title: Epoxy Flooring Installer (Technician) – In Training
Department: Operations
Reports To: Operations Manager
Location: Riverside, California
Employment Type: Part-Time working towards Full-Time

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as an Epoxy Flooring Installer (Technician) – In Training. This role is designed for someone who wants to grow with the company within the epoxy flooring industry. You will be trained on-site by experienced professionals in both residential garages and commercial/industrial environments, learning the full scope of resinous flooring systems including epoxy, polyaspartic, and urethane coatings.

The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and committed to delivering quality workmanship while growing into a crew lead role.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation Support & Learning Phase:

  • Assist in surface preparation, including grinding, shot blasting, and crack/joint repair
  • Mix and apply epoxy and polyaspartic coatings according to manufacturer specifications
  • Participate in flake broadcasting (full, medium, or light) and topcoat applications
  • Learn techniques to achieve various finishes: gloss, matte, slip-resistant
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite at all times

Residential & Commercial Scope:

  • Work in both residential (garages, patios, basements) and commercial settings (warehouses, retail, industrial facilities)
  • Adapt to site-specific conditions, client requirements, and job size variations
  • Gain experience with moisture mitigation systems and heavy-duty coatings used in commercial applications

Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in construction, painting, concrete, or floor coatings preferred
  • Willingness to learn epoxy flooring systems from surface prep to finish
  • Must be comfortable using industrial grinders, vacuums, mixers, and other tools
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow installation specifications
  • Physically fit; able to lift 60+ lbs and work on knees or in tight spaces when needed
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required
  • Excellent work ethic, punctuality, and problem-solving mindset
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
