American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a Level 2 Trauma teaching hospital in Georgia, requiring at least 2 years of ICU experience and ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and CPI certifications.

• Combined Medical, Surgical, Neuro, and Cardiac ICU with 26 beds
• Common ICU diagnoses include drug overdose, MI, subarachnoid hemorrhage, sepsis, MVC, ARF, AAA, acute hypoxic respiratory failure, and pneumonia
• ICU patients may be on Life Link, CRRT, and intra-aortic balloon pump
• 12-hour night shifts, 7p–7a (1900–0700), 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation required
• Floating required to all Med/Surg and Critical Care areas, including ED boarders
• On-call may be required when census is low, though this is rare
• EMR: Epic
• Equipment includes cardiac monitors, Alaris pumps, BiPap, ventilators, Precision BBG monitor, specialty beds, and Virtual Patient Observer

• Active RN license — GA or Compact license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CPI (CPI can be provided by the facility if not already held)
• TNCC and CCRN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, with most recent experience within the last year
• ICU skills required: arrhythmia monitoring, sedation, paralytics, titratable drips, CVP monitoring, caring for post-craniotomy patients, and TPA administration
• Experience at a Level 2 Trauma or teaching hospital preferred
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
• Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN

• Facility is a 361-bed Level 2 Trauma designation, teaching hospital with a residency program, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center
• Orientation consists of Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm the first week (NEO), followed by 2–3 days of departmental orientation on the floor the second week
• Department support includes CNAs/nurse techs, respiratory therapists, phlebotomists, educators, safety sitters, and virtual patient observers (VPO)
• Two nurses are required for foley catheter placement per facility protocol
• Coverage expected for 70% of assigned holidays
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking available on site
• Department culture emphasizes teamwork, speaking up for help, responding to call lights and telemetry alerts promptly
• First-time travelers will be considered, though not preferred
• Candidates who have previously held a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
• Local candidates are accepted — no radius rule applies, and the same rate applies for local travelers at GA facilities
